Tamb\u00e9m pode produzir benef\u00edcios f\u00edsicos a longo prazo atrav\u00e9s da redu\u00e7\u00e3o da inflama\u00e7\u00e3o.\u201d (2) Uma outra revista cient\u00edfica com elevado factor de impacto, a Diabetes Care (IF 19.11), publicou 2 artigos em que refere que a pr\u00e1tica de Qigong durante 12 semanas resultou em redu\u00e7\u00f5es significativas nos n\u00edveis de glicose em jejum em pacientes com diabetes tipo 2 e demonstrou tend\u00eancias de melhoria na resist\u00eancia \u00e0 insulina e A1C, sugerindo que o Qigong pode ser uma terapia complementar eficaz para indiv\u00edduos com diabetes tipo 2. (3,4) Em 2005, um artigo da revista Movement disorders, (IF 10.4) refere que pacientes de parkinsson que pertenciam ao grupo de estudo que praticava Qigong melhoraram mais na escala Unified Parkinson&#8217;s Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS-III) do que os do grupo controle (grupo que apenas recebeu tratamento convencional). (5) Em 2021, um estudo publicado na revista Brain, Behavior and Immunity (IF 7.21) foi o primeiro a demonstrar os efeitos neurocognitivos do Qigong e a via neuroinflamat\u00f3ria subjacente.
